kW Mission Critical Engineering is currently initiating a search for an Electrical Engineering Intern for our Troy NY, Atlanta GA, Tempe AZ and Milwaukee WI offices.

The candidate will work under direct supervision of senior engineers and will perform a variety of assignments and tasks requiring the application of standard engineering/design techniques and criteria to support a variety of projects
Performs entry level work
Follows instructions to accomplish assignments and tasks
Meets required schedules while producing quality work
Develops electrical drawings and technical documents
Prepares/contributes to electrical engineering studies
Coordinates design efforts with multi-discipline teams
Supports senior staff on multiple tasks
Supports construction administration and site survey tasks with oversight from experienced staff
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Who You Are
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with electrical building systems emphasis
Relevant intern experience
Excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork, and communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to travel to project sites
AutoCAD, BIM-Revit or other related graphic software experience.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Adobe Acrobat, and BlueBeam
Interest in innovative design, specifically in renewable energies and sustainable, high performing, commercial, industrial or mission critical/data center buildings.
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
