PACU is a state of the art, dynamic work place. It is a 24 bay unit that provides safe emergence from Anesthesia producing medications given to patients for surgical and invasive procedures. All anesthetic regimens are recovered including Sedation Analgesia, Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC), General, Spinal, Epidural, and Regional Blocks. Nurses working in the PACU have the support of on-site ACLS , PALS classes, and comprehensive orientation developed by clinical nurse specialists. In addition PACU nurse are able to participate in a clinical ladder program as well as other opportunity for professional growth through mentoring, opportunities for leadership.
Minimum Requirements :
Current NYS RN license
ASN, BSN preferred
One plus experience in acute care nursing. Critical care or Med/Surg telemetry experience preferred.
