Suny Polytechnic Institute Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Family Nurse Practitioner in Utica, New York

Description of Duties:

  • Teach undergraduate and/or graduate Nursing courses in online, hybrid and on-campus modes, primarily in the Family Nurse Practitioner programs, in a student-centered teaching environment within an evidenced based practice setting.

  • Engage in scholarship and service commitments.

  • Maintain an active professional Nursing practice.

  • Engage in professional or academic activities in campus-based, local, regional or broader communities in an effort to make a positive impact and advance the recognition and reputation of the College and SUNY Poly.

  • Be actively involved in student advising and mentoring, assessment and assurance of learning, curriculum design and revision, as well as committee services at all levels of the Institute.

  • Other reasonable duties as assigned.

    Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

Doctoral degree of ABD or DNP in Nursing from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized organization.

Doctoral Candidates must demonstrate a reasonable expectation of completing the DNP or PhD within one year on employment.

Preferred Requirements:

Holds a PhD, DNP or DSI in Nursing with a concentration in Family Nurse Practitioner from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized organization.


Must hold a current New York State License.

Holds a Family Nurse Practitioner License.
