Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a case load.

  • Perform essential counseling responsibilities including screening, intake and orientation, assessment, evaluation and intervention, treatment planning, referrals, crisis intervention, counseling, patient education, case management, reporting and record keeping.

  • Participate in program, administrative and clinical committees as assigned.

  • Relate effectively with staff, clients, and community while upholding confidentiality requirements.

    Qualifications :

  • Associates Degree in a human service field with minimum of CASAC-T required, or Bachelor’s Degree in a human service field with demonstrated steady progress towards QHP status (CASAC-T or enrolled in a MSW or Mental Health Counseling Masters or equivalent licensure oriented program).

  • One year counseling experience.

  • Equivalent alternative combination of education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirements

  • Knowledge of addiction/recovery, behavioral health, self-help group process and principles of counseling.

  • Proficiency with basic computer applications.
