Cayuga Centers Director of Clinical Services in Utica, New York

Job Description: Under the supervision of the Assistant Vice President of Upstate Clinical Services, this program leader will support the oversight of clinical supervision within the Child and Family Treatment and Support Services program. Additional responsibilities will include ensuring a strengths-based, youth-and family-centered focus within the CFTSS program and ensuring that staff members are trained in evidence-based and evidence-informed interventions. This position requires a vast knowledge and understanding of clinical trends in the field. * HOURS PER WEEK:* Exempt * Flexible 40-hour schedule, with weekend availability required * Oversight of 24-hour on-call services as needed to support staff * FUNCTIONS:* * Support the oversight all clinical interventions within the CFTSS program while embodying the agency competencies * Provide direct clinical supervision to CPST and OLP level staff within the program * Collaborate with the Assistant Vice President of the Central Region to ensure clinical oversight of treatment and support program operations of PSR level staff * Ensure staff are providing quality home and community-based, trauma informed solution-focused evaluation, evidenced-based treatment, treatment planning, therapy, and crisis intervention to children, families and groups * Support the overall clinical supervision of the CFTSS staffing team; ensure that staff members actively participate as part of a team of service providers and others with a focus on well-coordinated services for family members * Co-facilitate CFTSS staff team meetings to ensure clinical oversight * Facilitate clinical assessments, as needed * Ensure monthly billing is completed properly * Create systems of oversight for all supervisees * Train and assist staff in completing excellent clinical documentation * Assist with the hiring, evaluation, disciplinary actions involving clinical staff * Provide on-call support as assigned. Support staff to provide crisis interventions on a 24-hour a day on-call basis * Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, as assigned * Assist administrative staff in the collection of information for program effectiveness * Interpret and ensure compliance of policies and procedures within the program ## Experience and Skills: * Licensed clinical degree with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience * Experience in working with children and families in a community-based setting * Ability to demonstrate superior organizational and time management skills * Ability and willingness to work with families in an 'in-home' context * Experience with Evidence Based practice preferred * Knowledge and experience with Family Systems Theory * Knowledge and experience formulating clinical diagnoses * Understanding of Medicaid-billable services required * Ability to engage families or to support staff to engage families who may have been unsuccessful in clinic settings * Experience in clinical supervision of staff members * Experience working with clinical and case management teams * Possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude needed to appreciate and encourage diversity, and understand the concept of cultural trauma as it applies to individual and family functioning * The ability to forge a mutually respectful partnership with youth and families served in which they are helped to gain the skills and confidence to address any issues and problems they face * Valid NYS Driver’s License * Vehicle required.
