Resource Center for Independent Living Human Resources Leave Program Specialist in Utica, New York
The successful candidate will be expected to:
Process medical leaves such as Short-Term Disability, Family Medical Leave and Paid Family Leave.
Review and respond to unemployment claims with appropriate documentation. Review monthly unemployment statements; and
Handle Workers’ Compensation claims with third-party administrator assistance.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Candidates should have two years of Human Resources experience. Knowledge on employee leave management, unemployment claims, and Workers’ Compensation is required. Excellent customer service, communication and problem-solving skills are required, along with a knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word. An Associate’s Degree is preferred. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Wages: $16.41 per hour
Shift: RCIL offers multiple schedule options for its staff. Employees can work a flexible schedule with three-day weekends every other week OR a standard 7.5-hour schedule working from home every other Friday.
